The Road Trip Is Over, Yay!

We left Florida on Monday around 530PM and drove all through the night. We finally made it back home to New Jersey around noon. I was so exhausted that I went straight to bed. I didn’t dare to sleep in the car while we were driving. Since we took my car, I wanted to be aware of what was going on. So, I stayed up. I think I did nap for 20 minutes though, somewhere in VA, but I woke up due to jerky driving thanks to traffic. I took over after that. We took the bridge across the Atlantic Ocean from Virginia into Delaware because we wanted to avoid the morning traffic on the beltway around Washington, DC. Anyway, we made it home safely.

Marty and Kels fell asleep really easy any time I was driving. Marty was the most adorable, sleeping. Kels took a picture while he was sprawled out on the back seat, wrapped up in Kels’ soft plushy blanket. He was so cute all cuddled up. Kels Snapchatted it to me. How cute! Just his nose is poking out, haha!

Well, I’m finally sitting at home and taking some time to unwind from my 2000 mile journey from NJ to FL and from FL back to NJ. It was such a long trip! But…it was only 3 days. XD It just felt so long!

Oh! I went to the Disney audition. It was a lot of fun. Kels was really nervous but I thought the whole thing was pretty interesting. We were in the first 20 to show up, but about 300 people showed up in total to audition. While I didn’t get the part, I still had a lot of fun! It was a new experience and I found it really cool. Kels didn’t get a part either and she was real upset. But, she does a lot of acting and stagework and her Dad is an actor with an Equity Card, so she takes rejections a bit more seriously than me, haha!

I woke up at 630AM due to a loud and flashy thunderstorm. It knocked out our power for about an hour. So…I just went back to sleep. I was still really exhausted from all of that driving! …So much driving!anigif_enhanced-buzz-26064-1393519867-16

So, I’m going to keep unwinding and watch “Nana” on Netflix. I’m about halfway through the series. If Jae wants to watch Netflix with me soon, maybe I’ll switch to “Naruto” since we’ve been watching it together. Although, I’m pretty sure he’s ahead of me since I left.

Have a great night everyone and look for my words again soon!

A Brilliant Idea, Maybe?

I’m tired, but not tired. It’s such a weird feeling, you know? I had this brilliant idea earlier to stay up all night so that I can fix my sleep schedule. Stay up all night and then go to bed early the next day. So, that’s what I am in the process of accomplishing. However, while I felt tired for a bit, I don’t feel sleepy. Does that make sense?

Anyway, I kept myself busy, watching “Nana” on Netflix, folding two loads of laundry and putting it away, sorting through my clothes and setting aside pieces I want to donate or give away, organized the bathroom drawer, and swept the kitchen floor. Now, it’s finally starting to become lighter outside. The sun will rise soon.

The candle I lit a few hours ago is stil burning. It’s scented to smell like chocolae peanut butter. It’s not my choice of candle, but since it’s all we have until its done and we buy a new one, I have to burn it as often as possible to get rid of it. It’s a really sweet scent and it sort of gives me a headache after awhile. I like sweet things, but it’s just really too sweet of a scent for a candle, I think.

I’m not sure what I’ll do today aside from going to a doctor appointment in the afternoon. Recently, we gave away our above-ground pool and deck to our neighbors, since they have younger kids who will enjoy it, and now we have a round patch of sand in a section of our yard. Maybe I’ll rake it out a bit so it’s spread out and then we can lay down a layer of topsoil and grass seed to get a nice green patch growing there again. Also, some of the bushes could use a trim. Honeysuckle seems especially evasive this year.

Friday is the big day, the day I drive to Florida with Kels. We’re going down together to audition for Disney’s “Finding Nemo: The Musical”. It’s a stage-show that performs at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They’re looking to cast a new Dory and Nemo, and a few other roles. I’m auditioning for the part of Dory. I have to prepare a 16-bar song to sing. I’ve chosen “Cock-Eyed Optimist” from “South Pacific” because I already know the words. I was in “South Pacific” back in 2011. It’s a cute play.

Well, look for my words again soon.

I Can’t Think Of A Good Title….

Whelp, my practice month for NaNoWriMo starts in 2 hours! Camp NaNoWriMo should be an interesting way to see how I handle the demands of NaNoWriMo and, hopefully, I’ll gain some experience from it to … not to mention get some work done on my book. Yay!

I want to say that I just finished watching “Teen Beach Movie 2” and I’m disappointed with the ending. (SPOILER ALERT!) I mean, Leila changes her and Tanner’s movie and that’s all fine but Brady and Mac forgetting each other? Totally lame! I must say that I am really, really disappointed with the writers for this one. Disney Channel overall just seems to be getting cornier and cornier and I’m really missing those 90s and early 2000s show frames and stuff. I mean, Disney Channel shows today just don’t have good plots, the acting is, by far, mediocre, AND it’s laughtrack after laughtrack! Did you know, if you took the laughtrack out, it wouldn’t be as funny. It’s the truth.

Anyway, going to watch Nana now on Netflix. Time to relax, considering I spent most of my day out with Pepere (which was great!). Have I ever mentioned how much I like spending time with him? It’s always fun. And, he leant me his palm sander so I can do some work on our wood bench and chairs outside. Shame it’s supposed to rain this week. Maybe I can get some sanding done between showers?

Look for my words again soon!
